Before I Do (2026) depicts a woman diving headfirst into an overflowing laundry basket, capturing a moment that is both humorous and unsettling. Suspended upside down, her body disappears beneath the weight of everyday domestic responsibilities, transforming an ordinary household task into an exaggerated act of commitment.​

The sculpture reflects on the unseen labour that oftenaccompanies family life and the expectations placed uponthose who take on caring roles. While laundry becomes theimmediate subject, it also speaks to the countless repetitivetasks that quietly shape daily life. The title invites a moment ofpause, encouraging reflection on the realities, responsibilitiesand emotional labour that can accompany the decision tobegin a family.​

Carved from wood, the work combines humour with a sense ofphysical impossibility, using exaggeration to reveal the oftenover-looked demands of care while acknowledging both itschallenges and its significance.​
