Sculptures

Using felled trees that were cut down due to overgrowth or rot, Tina feels she is giving them new life and a new story. Each piece of wood carries its own history. For instance, the Cypress wood used in "When you were big, and I was small," depicting a mother, teenager, and dog, came from a tree that fell in a storm, causing €50,000 worth of damage. All the pieces listed here was made from wood donated by local people. Tina carves most of the pieces with a chainsaw and power tools, then finishes them with a mixture of wood oil and oil paint. Some works are mixed media made using steel, plaster and felting.
