Baby Love
Baby Love (2025) explores the physical and emotional realities ofearly motherhood. The sagging nappy, hand-knitted bunny, and defiant expression speak of sleepless nights, constantcare, and the relentless demands of nurturing a young child.Made by the artist, the bunny becomes both a source ofcomfort and a symbol of the time, patience, and loveinvested in caring for another.
Rather than idealising childhood, the sculptureacknowledges the contradictions of motherhood, whereexhaustion and unconditional love exist side by side.Through familiar domestic details, Baby Love celebrates thequiet, repetitive acts of care that form the foundation offamily life.
