For the ones I never held
For the Ones I Never Held (2026) is a sculptural work about loss, memory and remembrance.
Three handwritten notes addressed topregnancies I lost rest upon a carved woodenhand beneath a transparent acrylic dome. Acentrifugal blower continuously moves the notesaround the enclosed space.
The notes are physically present, but constantlydisplaced because they could never be held.
My mother said, “We never forget the ones welost.”
The work is a gesture of remembrance —acknowledging lives that were never physicallyheld, but remain remembered.
They could never be held, but they can be remembered.
Beech Wood Carving, electronics, paper, acrylic dome, stool.
